Who I Am – Outdoor Enthusiast & Wildlife Lover
Thanks so much for stopping by. I’m 32 years old and these days I call the forests and rolling hills of Pennsylvania my home. But my love for the outdoors began much earlier, growing up in southwest Oklahoma, in the rugged and beautiful Wichita Mountains. Those rocky trails and wide-open skies sparked my curiosity for wildlife and planted the first seeds of my passion for hiking.
When I was 18, my life changed in an instant. I was in a serious car accident that left me with challenges I never expected. There were moments I doubted what I’d be able to do again. But I was determined not to let those limitations define me. Step by step, I turned to hiking as a way to heal, both physically and mentally.
Today, the trails have become so much more than just places to walk. They’ve been a source of resilience, a space to rebuild strength, and a reminder that we’re all capable of more than we think.
My Hiking Experience
I’ve hiked countless trails across different states and countries. Everything from rocky mountain climbs to quiet woodland paths. I’m not out to break records or bag every peak; I hike because it makes me feel alive. Along the way, I’ve learned that nature has a way of meeting you where you are, whether you’re chasing summits or just beginning your first mile.
I’m here to advocate for those of us living with “quiet” or often unseen disabilities. I want to show that you can still do hard things, no matter where you’re starting from. Hiking doesn’t have an age limit or a perfect “fit” requirement, it’s never too late to begin your own journey.
Why I Share
This blog is my way of giving back—sharing the lessons, tips, and encouragement that I’ve picked up on the trail. My hope is that you find inspiration here to step outside, to breathe deeply, and to discover your own strength along the way.
Whether you’re just starting out or looking for your next big adventure, I want you to know: the outdoors belongs to all of us.
Got a question or just stopping by to say hi? I’d love to hear from you!
